Chelsea High School Marching Band earns 1st division superior rating

The Chelsea High School Marching Band continued its 2014 marching season with its annual appearance at the Michigan School Band and Orchestra Association (MSBOA) District 12 Marching Band Festival on Monday, Oct. 6 at John Glenn High School in Westland.

The band had its best performance of the season, and earned top ratings in Music, Marching, and General Effect Showmanship from all of the festival judges. The result was a top, overall, 1st Division Superior Rating.

The CHS Band will once again present its 2014 “The Chain” program featuring the music of Fleetwood Mac this Friday at the homecoming football game.

They will also be performing in the Homecoming Parade Friday afternoon, and continue to prepare for their annual Fall Echoes Concert, which will take place on Monday, Nov. 3 at 7 p.m. in the CHS gymnasium.
