(Chelsea Update would like to thank the Chelsea High School prom committee for the information in this story.)

Chelsea High School students celebrated their 2016 prom at Zingerman’s Cornman Farms on Saturday, May 7.

In the midst of AP testing, planning graduation parties, and Mother’s Day, the upperclassmen at CHS took a break to enjoy a night of fun. The theme was the Great Gatsby, and the students enjoyed dancing, playing games, and eating cupcakes, rolls and snacks. There were elements of the 1920’s playing off of the renovated, rustic barn, and candle lights throughout.

Seniors Abe Cone and Kelly Bertoni took the bowler hat and a flapper crown for Prom King and Queen.

Prom advisers Geo Rutherford and Shawn Sinacola-Rodriguez would like to sincerely thank all of the many parents, teachers and administrators that helped make this year’s prom a very fun and safe event for our students.

A special thanks goes out to all of the wonderful staff at Cornman Farms, without whose support this night wouldn’t have been possible. Thank you Kate Zurenko Photography for the lovely photos, Gigi’s Flowers and Gifts for the beautiful arrangements, Zingerman’s Bakery for the delicious cupcakes, and Common Grill for the tasty rolls.
