(Chelsea Update would like to thank Bob Milbrodt for the information in this story.)
Last Monday, Chelsea Kiwanis Club heard from Ruth Habrecht, founder and CEO of Hutan for World Health and its Bob-a-Loo program.
Bob-a-Loo is an adventure based learning program for 2-to 7-year olds to improve Michigan’s 32nd national rank in literacy.
After assessing the needs of teachers and parents, manuals have been provided using a multi-sensory approach, kids act out stories, pretending to be animals. This gets them to use their imagination, lose their inhibitions, and build confidence while learning.
Kiwanis is happy to support their efforts to help Chelsea teachers and parents in child development.
