The Chelsea Kiwanis Club along with One World One Family Chelsea is sponsoring a Martin Luther King Jr. Essay Contest essay and picture contest for Chelsea children and youth.
High School students:
Write about Dr. King’s work and what it means to you and how it will impact your future.
Middle School students:
Martin Luther King Jr. stood for non-violence. How can you promote non-violence in your school and community.
Elementary School students:
Draw a picture and describe what your picture is showing about what Dr. King did to make life better for people.
“Winning” submittals may have their photo and/or work published online on www.ChelseaUpdate.com as well as Chelsea District Library. Winners will also receive a MLK Jr gift from the Chelsea Kiwanis Club.
Smissions must be received by Jan. 11.
High School and Middle School age children can drop their entries off at the school office or send their entries by email to: [email protected].
Elementary age children can drop off their pictures and description at your school office, at the Chelsea District Library or send it by USPS mail to: One World One Family, Box 31, Chelsea, MI 48118.
