I am sure many people passing Jiffy Mix on Main Street have wondered what that big hole and pile of gravel is all about.
I stopped Wednesday and asked a security guy what it was.
He said it is going to be a new parking lot. Those big orange plastic huts will be covered with gravel by the “Stone Slinger” and walls will be built on the south and east sides.
This engineering method creates a huge reservoir for storm water runoff, instead of having to install a big storm drain. The water will slowly seep into the ground.
