The Chelsea Pickleball Club kicked off its inaugural tournament Timbertown Fall Frenzy by offering 3 divisions on its 6 beautiful courts. This opportunity to host such a well-organized event plus offer quality outdoor courts has been a dream of the local pickleball club for years.

Every time the committee and volunteers come together and plan a fundraiser event, they funnel the effort so that all proceeds go towards a good cause or charity. This time is no different as they will use entry fees and donations to purchase a needed park shed for their equipment storage. The close-knit friendly community of players are always so generous and they also know how to have fun so the combination of playing and fundraising is very successful.

The club would like to thank and recognize Jets Pizza for the generous donation of gift cards for prizes. Winners received these along with other gifts such as club logo glasses, candy corn and jars of pickles.

If you want to learn how to play or improve your pickleball skills you can consider signing up for one of the future clinics via Chelsea Community Education. Adult and kid clinics are available and we provide all the equipment.

The local trainers also volunteer their time at the Chelsea Senior Pickleball Club, which has seen exploding memberships in the last couple of years. Both clubs welcome anyone to come out give this sport a try and see how much fun everyone is having on the courts.
