Chelsea Senior Center is Hiring For New Position

The Chelsea Senior Center (CSC) is excited to announce a new part-time staff position, a Respite Care Coordinator.

This person will help build the new multi-pronged Ease the Day initiative to give caregivers a break. The new team member will work collaboratively to build a network of volunteers to help give caregivers a break through new respite care opportunities in Western Washtenaw County.

The position is responsible for recruitment, screening, interviewing, training, scheduling, and co-supervision of volunteers who provide respite care for the on-site Ease the Day (ETD) adult day respite care program and the in-home Volunteer Caregiver Respite (VCR) program.

Job responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, client interaction including assessments of caregiver and care recipients to determine program eligibility, matching caregivers to VCR clients, and resource navigation. Other duties include staffing and planning for ETD, CSC Memory Support programs, and general CSC needs.
