(This is another in a series of stories about businesses that are Chelsea Area Chamber of Commerce members.)

Royek Family Chiropractic is owned by married chiropractors Katherine and Matthew Royek, who met in chiropractic school.

They opened their Chelsea office last December at 1307 S. Main Street, Ste C.

“We offer a wide array of chiropractic techniques to accommodate patients of all ages and backgrounds,” said Katherine Royek. “We also have two licensed massage therapists who provide therapeutic massage.”

Both Royeks worked as chiropractic associates in the Detroit metro area and decided it was time to operate their own chiropractic practice. Matthew Royek was a regular visitor to Waterloo State Park, and that’s what drew the couple to Chelsea.

“In our search of where to open a chiropractic office, we came across Dr. Michelle Hewitt, who would soon be retiring from practice,” said Katherine Royek, who said that they made the decision to purchase the practice that was formerly named Hewitt Wellness. “We love the location as it is close to being in the beautiful downtown area of Chelsea, but it is also close to the freeway.”

The Royeks say their practice is open to anybody with a spine, from weekend warriors to student athletes to gardeners.

They chose to join the Chelsea Area Chamber of Commerce to meet new people, get more active in the community, and attend Chamber events.

“We are in the process of moving out this way in the next month or so and cannot wait to join the Chelsea community personally as well as professionally,” said Katherine Royek. “Working together and running a chiropractic practice was always our dream. We have been very grateful to finally achieve this dream.”
