The Grateful Crow opened in October of 2020 in a space adjacent to Jet’s Pizza, which opened in March of 2006, and both are owned by Jason and Suzei Povlich.

They had the idea of a restaurant that served burgers and sushi, and when the space opened up, they saw an opportunity.

“Our aim is consistency in great food and great service and a positive impact on anyone who walks in the door,” said Suzei Povlich.

“Our hopes are that dining with us is more of an experience than just eating. A visitor should expect the best sushi on the planet and service to match. The atmosphere is an inviting romantic gothic industrial vibe that suits any occasion, whether it be a celebration or getting a beer and bite to eat after a long day at work,” she said.

Povlich says it’s a combination of Grateful Crow’s ambiance, the quality of its food, and its top notch cocktails and service that make it a must experience for everyone. Last year, they added an all seasons patio as an option for outdoor dining.

“Restaurants are something we have done all our lives,” said Povlich. “We love it, and we are wired for it! You can’t beat the work-family aspect, and giving our customers a great experience is what it is all about.”

This year, the Povliches will complete a kitchen expansion and plan to launch a food truck this summer.

Why Chelsea as a location?

“Who would ever want to leave Chelsea?” said Povlich. “We want to express our thanks for the support of the Chelsea community. Without you, we could have never succeeded, especially during the obstacles that opening during a pandemic presented. We are grateful for you!”
