Countdown to fair: I’m doing it, won’t you?

Due to popular demand, I’ve agreed to get dunked in the Chelsea Lions Club dunk tank on Friday at 6 p.m., so, who else is going to join me?

This is a big fundraiser for the the club and the Lions are still looking for people to volunteer to sit in the dunk tank  on Thursday night at the 76th Annual Chelsea Community Fair.

“The proceeds support Timbertown, college scholarships for Chelsea High School seniors and vision-related local projects,” says Lions Club Member Chuck Armstrong.

The open shifts are on Thursday night for a half hour each at 6 p.m., 6:30 p.m., 7 p.m., 7:30 p.m., 9 and 9:30 p.m.

Please call Chuck Armstrong at 475-8224 if you’re interested in, well, getting dunked.

So, be sure to practice your throws until then, show me the money (it’s three throws for $1.00) and come watch me go splash from 6-6:30 p.m. on Friday night. (Then I have to race to dry off and cover the crowning of this year’s Fair Queen at 7 p.m.)
