The Purple Rose Theatre Company (PRTC) recently named David Ligotti to the board of directors for a three-year term.

Ligotti is the owner of Oakwood Business Services, LLC, an accounting, tax and consulting firm. He received a Bachelor of Arts in political science from Kalamazoo College, a Master of Business Administration from the University of Michigan and a Master of Science in taxation from Walsh College.  He serves on the boards of Diversified Restaurants Holding and Leuk’s Landing.

Officers re-elected to one-year terms are:

Co-Chair Steven K. Hamp, chair, New Economy Initiative;

Co-Chair Sheila Ford Hamp, vice chair, Detroit Lions;

Vice Chair Peter Feeney, managing partner, Chelsea Rhone, L.L.C.;

Treasurer John Mann, president and CEO, Chelsea State Bank;

Secretary Craig Common, Owner, Common Grill Restaurant.

“Our board is energetic, engaged and offers a diversity of skills,” said co-chairs Steve and Sheila Hamp. “Running a professional theatre is complicated, with lots of moving parts and a constantly changing landscape, which is why so few regional professional theatre companies make it to their 25th anniversary. With a sense of earned celebration, we passed this milestone last year. Our dedicated staff and board of directors remain committed to Jeff Daniel’s vision of being a home to original, world-class American theatre.”

Completing the board line up for the 2016-17 season are:

Jeff Daniels, ex officio;

John Colone, owner, Hell MI, L.L.C.;

Philip J. Curtis, managing principal, Curtis, Curtis and Brelinski, P.C.

Ronald Griffith, special assistant to the president, Spring Arbor University;

Neil Hawkins, corporate vice president and chief sustainability officer, The Dow Chemical Company;

David P. Larsen, partner, Bodman PLC;

Maria Leonhauser, writer;

George Moses, co-owner, George Moses Company.
