Deadline approaching for Chelsea City Council vacancy applications

Currently, five interested residents have applied for the open seat on the Chelsea City Council.

If you are interested in being considered for the position, please see the information below and get your application filed by Aug. 12.

First, please complete the City Council Candidate Form

Forward the completed form along with an updated resume to the Chelsea City Clerk via email to [email protected] or drop it off at the City Office drop box or mail to the attention of City Clerk, City of Chelsea, 305 S. Main St. Ste. 100, Chelsea, MI 48118

On Aug. 24 at a special meeting, the current City Council members will interview the candidates and at the Sept. 8 regular meeting, a candidate will be appointed.

The term ends following city election in November 2021.
