Elise Wheelock of Chelsea was recently appointed to the Michigan Board of Massage Therapy.
The Michigan Board of Massage Therapy was created to regulate the application of a system of structured touch, pressure, movement, and holding to the soft tissue of the human body in which the primary intent is to enhance or restore the health and well-being of the client.
Wheelock is a creative and marketing manager for Constructive Eating. She was previously a liability adjuster at Hagerty Insurance.
She holds bachelor’s degrees in biopsychology, cognition, and neuroscience and in creative writing and literature from the University of Michigan.
Wheelock was reappointed as a member of the general public for a term commencing Jan. 28 and expiring Dec. 31, 2029.
This appointment is subject to the advice and consent of the senate.
