As we welcome the new year, it’s time to look back at the past year, the busiest in Faith in Action’s history for reasons ranging from the repercussions of a government shutdown and SNAP benefits cuts, to the increased economic needs of people in the communities FIA serves.
First, we want to recognize the generosity of this community for making 2025 a banner year for food pantry donations. From individuals who shopped and dropped off daily food needs, to all sorts of public and private groups organizing food drives, we received more food donations in 2025 than ever before. Not only was your generosity appreciated, it was needed, and continues to be needed as we enter a new year.
We are especially grateful to the volunteers who showed up week after week, the local businesses, schools, faith communities, and civic groups who organized food drives, and the donors who quietly gave again and again. Your collective effort made it possible for FIA to respond quickly and compassionately when needs increased.
FIA is so fortunate to be able to serve the needs of so many, and that’s thanks to you in the community, who provide the resources that keep us viable. In addition to the food pantry, we offer a clothing and housewares closet, medical equipment, and funding for various needs.
Looking ahead to 2026, the needs we serve persist, as does our commitment. With the continued support of this community, FIA will continue to strengthen our programs, adapt to emerging challenges, and support neighbors with dignity and care.
Thank you for allowing us to serve this community, and we look forward to continuing our robust relationship in 2026.
