Feb. 17-18: fowling, corn hole tourney added to Curling Fest

Due to last week’s weather, Curling Fest 2018 was rescheduled for this weekend.

Curling Fest begins on Friday, Feb. 16 with learn-to-curl open ice sessions.

On Saturday, the first curling tournament begins at 9 a.m. It’s great for novice and experienced players.

On Sunday, there is a second tournament that begins at 9 a.m. There is space for teams on both Saturday and Sunday. Sunday, there is a second tournament that begins at 9 a.m.

To make it up to participants and event attendees, a corn hole tournament has been added on Saturday, Feb. 17 beginning at 10 a.m. People can sign up Saturday morning or email the Chamber at [email protected] for more information. The cost is $5 per person.

At 11 a.m. on Feb. 17, a new sport called fowling has been added to the festivities. Fowling is played by throwing a football toward bowling pins that are placed on a board at a distance of 48 feet apart. Players try to knock down all 10 pins. Fowling will begin at 11 a.m. The cost is free to people playing in the curling tournament and $5 for the curling spectators.
