Feb. 20: Chelsea Kiwanis to hear from Nancy Paul of Faith in Action

(Chelsea Update would like to thank Bob Milbrodt for the information in this story.)

This Monday, the Chelsea Kiwanis Club will hear from Nancy Paul from Faith in Action (FIA).

She will update members on all the different ways FIA supports the 200-300 households in the area that seek assistance each year. She will also explain how community members can volunteer at Faith in Action and can donate food and clothing.

Paul invites everyone to attend the annual FIA benefit dinner which will be held in April.

The club would like to thank the catering staff at St. Joseph Mercy Chelsea Hospital for the excellent dinner served for a Valentine’s Day celebration last Monday night. The food was delicious and the service was friendly and prompt.  The club has used the hospital’s catering for functions around town and their cafeteria for more than 25 years.

The club meeting begins each Monday at 6:15 p.m. in the St. Joseph Mercy Chelsea Hospital cafeteria, and the speakers begin at about 6:45 p.m.

Everyone is invited to the club’s meetings to learn about Kiwanis.
