The BIG GAME: The fundraising competition between CEF and EFD kicked off on Oct. 1 and culminates at halftime during the Oct. 25 Dexter vs. Chelsea high school football game.
Rivalry Match: Despite the fierce football rivalry between Dexter and Chelsea, the foundations unite for a common cause: raising money for educational grants. This unity in the rivalry is a testament to the strong community spirit.

Chelsea Education Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that provides funding for a broad spectrum of educational activities benefiting the students of the Chelsea School District. Since 1990, $1.3 million in donations have been collected to support grants and scholarships throughout the district. Since 1985, the Educational Foundation of Dexter has awarded over $1.3 million in teacher/district grants that support students from Pre-K to 12th Grade in the Dexter Community Schools. Just a few of the grants funded last year include a DHS Silent Disco for Homecoming, Launch at DEEC, MakerSpace at Mill Creek, DHS Zekelman Holocaust Center visit, IronDreads, funding for the Farm to School Program at Creekside, and many field trips all across the district.
