The green barn will be closed all day as the numerous judges deliberate. They’ll choose the winners of hundreds of classes, such as top cakes and cookies, largest veggies and most beautiful flowers, best photographs, artwork, needlework and sewing.

In the afternoon, small animals arrive, rabbits and poultry will be caged between 4-8 p.m.

Horses will be stabled in the equine barn from 4-9 p.m. and steer begin arriving at 6 p.m. where they’ll remain in the livestock barn for the duration of the fair.

Gates open at 10 a.m. and there’s a free antique tractor pull in the Main Arena. Spectators should enter through the main gate.

The fair officially gets underway on Tuesday, Aug. 21 with some very special events.
