Get involved in the Home Town Holiday festival planning

Chelsea Area Chamber of Commerce logo

Anyone interested in helping plan this year’s Home Town Holiday event is invited to the first organizational meeting on Friday, Sept. 7 at 8:15 a.m. at the Village Conference Center.

Also, mark your calendars for the delightful festival that’s scheduled for Nov. 30-Dec 2 and begins the Christmas season in Chelsea. There will be caroling and the annual tree lighting ceremony, luminaries, and a gingerbread house display.

Visitors can attend a performance of “The Nutcracker,” view a living nativity scene, decorate cookies and listen to holiday storytelling in between visiting local merchants that will be decked out for the holidays and offering the perfect gifts for everyone on your holiday list.

Santa will make an appearance, the annual Chelsea Light Parade will march through the downtown, there’s a Bear Cub Run and a community sing on the docket.

If you can’t make the meeting, but want to be involved in the fun, please e-mail Patti Schick at [email protected] or call 475-1145.
