Have you filled out the Chelsea Human Rights Commission’s survey?

By Lisa Carolin

Making sure that people understand the purpose of the Chelsea Human Rights Commission’s survey was discussed by the commission at its May 2 meeting.

Members of the commission approved attaching press releases to the eight collection boxes around Chelsea where people can fill out surveys.

Those locations are the Chelsea District Library, the Chelsea Wellness Center, Faith in Action, Chelsea City Offices, Chelsea Senior Center, Silver Maples, The Pines, and Chelsea Retirement Community.

The survey will be available through June 16 and is also available on line at  https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/Chelsea_HRC_Individual_Survey.

There is a separate survey for organizations, and that is available at: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/Chelsea_HRC_Organizational_Survey.

The survey has seven questions, and responses can be anonymous. The purpose is to help the HRC determine issues in the community.

At its meeting, the HRC approved eliminating one of its two monthly meetings effective in June, at which time the commission will begin meeting once a month on the first Wednesday at the new time of 6 p.m.

The HRC’s next meeting will be on May 16 at 5:30 p.m.

The HRC would also like to remind anyone interested that there is an opening on the commission. More information can be found at http://city-chelsea.org, then click on Boards Committees and Commissions, then click on the link under Application Process.
