Sounds & Sights on Thursday Nights continues its free summer concert series Thursday, June 27 from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at 10 staged areas throughout downtown Chelsea featuring music, dance, family entertainment and comedy.
This week, the Chelsea District Library’s Comedy Showcase wraps up its four-week series with comedian Mike Bobbitt.
Bobbitt is the founding member of the Desperate Houseguys comedy show, a contributing writer to the Complete Idiot’s Guide to Jokes, and his two comedy albums “Mikey Pooh” and “Full Frontal Nerdity” can be heard regularly on XM/Sirius satellite radio.
This Thursday’s music line-up includes acoustic country-rock trio Seven Bridges, the acoustic indie pop-folk singer-songwriter Human Cannonball, the jazz ensemble Blue Seven, the Ypsilanti rock group The View, the indie groove-rock Jake Prince Trio, and the reunited guitar-and-saxophone jazz-folk fusion The Duo Project.
In addition, 3 Generations Entertainment’s unique balloon creations at the Main Street Alley and Dee Dee the Clown in the Clocktower courtyard.
Spectators are invited to experience the new installation of SculptureWalk Chelsea, a self-guided walking tour of 12 juried sculptures located throughout downtown.
And at dusk, SRSLY outdoor cinema presents “Marley and Me: The Puppy Years” (PG).
