Huron Valley Ambulance is forming a Huron Valley Ambulance Volunteer Team.
They are looking for citizens interested in training for a variety of volunteer positions.
You can train to be a medical first responder at community events or to assist with community education/awareness programs and administrative tasks.
The information meeting is planned for Thursday, March 20 from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at Emergent Health Partners, 1200 State Circle, Ann Arbor.
You will receive information about our volunteer teams – Medical First Responders, Community Relations and Administrative Support.
And there’s free training for medical first responders.
The eight-week training program starts on May 6. Classes meet on Tuesday/Thursday from 6 to 10:30 p.m. and three Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Upon completion, you may take the state exam to be certified as a Medical First Responder.
