It’s official: winter weather advisory until 4 p.m. Saturday

The Washtenaw County Sheriff’s Office has issued a winter weather advisory for snow developing overnight and continuing through Saturday.

Total snow accumulations of 3 to 5 inches expected from 2 a.m. until 4 p.m. Saturday.

A Winter Weather Advisory for snow means periods of snow will cause primarily travel difficulties. Expect snow covered roads and limited visibilities. Use caution while driving.

  1. I didn’t realize the Washtenaw County Sheriff’s Office has a meteorologist on staff. I did realize that the National Weather Service issued a winter weather advisory for tonight and tomorrow, though.

    • Thank you for the catch, Alan. The alert came from the sheriff’s office and I should have clarified that it originated in the National Weather Service.
