Last Monday, Nancy Paul, from Faith in Action gave an enlightening presentation on some of the situations folks in the area find themselves.

Faith in Action is there to provide food, clothing, and help dealing with tough family and personal issues, overcoming red tape and finding available resources at utility companies and government.

This Monday, Jan. 18, Kiwanis will hear from Jane Thompson and Natalie Krienke from Ballet Chelsea. They will cover all the classes offered besides ballet, which include tap dancing, Highland step dancing, jazz, hip hop, and modern dance. Pilates, conditioning, yoga, and musical theatre classes are offered as well.

Ballet Chelsea also has an Adaptive Dance Program to work with people with disabilities. In addition to classes, there are auditions, performances, workshops, and summer intensive programs.

The meeting begins each week at 6:15 p.m. in the St. Joseph Mercy-Chelsea Hospital cafeteria, and the speakers begin at about 6:45 p.m.

Everyone is invited to the meetings to learn about Kiwanis and click www.kiwanisclubofchelsea.org for more information.
