At the Chelsea Area Historical Society Holiday Party on Dec. 14, Preservation Chelsea presented Jim and Kim Myles with a certificate of gratitude.

The certificate reads:
“With deep gratitude to Jim and Kim Myles, Innkeepers of Chelsea House Victorian Innkeepers, who transformed 118 East Middle St., Chelsea, Michigan, a five -unit rental property in 1994 to the former glory of the home built for James Gorman in 1881.

And, for their outstanding service and commitment to the preservation of Chelsea that made Chelsea a much better place.”

Kim Myles served as president of Preservation Chelsea in the early days of the organization.

Jim Myles was previously on the Village/City Council for 8 years and is currently on the Council. He served on the DDA for 12 years, and was responsible for getting business owners to agree to be on the National Register of Historic Places. Jim Myles personally installed the plaque for the National Register plaque that stands at the corner of South and Main Street.
