River Gallery will kick off 2014 with an exhibition of work by John Schwarz consisting of found object assemblages.
The gallery’s holiday hours are Dec. 27-28 from 11 a.m.-5 p.m. and it will reopen with regular hours on Jan. 7.
Schwarz’ work will be on display from Jan. 18-March 2, and the opening reception is planned for Jan. 18 from 5-8 p.m.
The Chelsea artist’s found object sculptures are in the international collections of “Ripley’s Believe It or Not” and featured prominently in C.S. Mott’s Children’s Hospital art collection.
