July 28: check out Tantre Farm at Saturday Farmers Market

Tantre Farm always has unusual offerings.

By Lisa Carolin

Tantre´ Farm has been a vendor at the Chelsea Farmers Market since 2001 with the mission “to produce and distribute fresh, organic produce, while serving as an educational, sustainable, and social network for our surrounding community.”

The farm is located in Chelsea and has been certified organic since 1993.

Tantre´ Farm grows close to 100 varieties of vegetables along with fruits, herbs, and flowers.

This Saturday, Tantre´ Farm will offer cherry tomatoes, zucchini, summer squash, new potatoes, rhubarb, spinach, green onions, cucumbers, garlic, kale, lettuce, broccoli, cabbage, beets, arugula, and a variety of beans and herbs.

You’ll also find apricots, peaches, free range eggs, fruit jam, baguettes, cookies, and cheese at the market.

The North Creek Fiddlers will provide the music.

The Saturday Chelsea Farmers Market is located in the municipal parking lot by the library along Park Street and runs from 8 a.m.-1 p.m.
