A reminder that just for this Saturday, (July 30), the Chelsea Farmers Market will take place in the Chelsea State Bank parking lot, the same location as the Wednesday farmers market. It’s located at 1010 S. Main St., near the corner of Old US-12 and M-52.

The Saturday market runs from 8 a.m.-1 p.m., and you can still enjoy all of your favorite vendors as well as the fresh foods, artisans, music, and ambiance of the farmers market.

You’ll find peaches and blueberries, along with plants and flowers and plenty of fresh produce.

Fresh baked goods including breads, cakes, cookies, and muffins will be for sale as well as hot sandwiches and seasonings.

The Chelsea Rotary Club will be selling beautiful fair trade baskets made in Ghana as well as products made by Motown Soups. Make sure to stop by their booth.

This week’s music will be provided by folk singer Tom Hodgson.

There is a new regional (Chelsea, Grass Lake, Manchester and Stockbridge) food assistance program to help get healthy market food on the tables of those in need. It’s aimed at folks who don’t quite meet SNAP criteria. Be sure to inquire at the market.
