Chelsea Field Hockey (CFH) is hosting its annual informational and registration meeting on June 1 at the Washington Street Education Center (WSEC) at 6:30 p.m.
The team is also hosting its annual Whip-It Camp from June 20-24.
Chelsea Field Hockey is a fall sport for Chelsea High School and Beach Middle School female athletes, entering 6th through 12th grades. The team welcomes first-time players and those with experience and other sports involvement.
At the June 1 meeting, coaches will be available to answer questions about the upcoming fall season. It is also an opportunity to register for the fall team, although you can register beforehand at the team’s new website: www.chelseafieldhockey.org.
June 1 is also the last day to save on CFH’s Whip-It Camp, a fun week-long camp to learn new skills, play scrimmages and polish “go-to” field moves. The camp runs from June 20-24 from 9 a.m. to noon. The camp is for girls entering 4th through 12th grades in the fall. Register for Whip-It Camp at www.chelseafieldhockey.org.
Chelsea Field Hockey is the 2015 Division 1 Champions and State Runner-Ups. The team was formerly known as the Washtenaw Whippets, co-founded by Roxy Block and Leslie Fry in 2004. As the Whippets, the club organization germinated two school teams (Dexter and Saline).
In 2015, the team adopted its new name to strengthen the connection to Chelsea High School’s athletic program.
For more information, please contact Roxy Block at [email protected] or visit the team’s website.
