Prescription for Health is back at both the Saturday and Wednesday farmers markets in Chelsea. It began on June 6 and runs through Dec. 15.

People with chronic illness or low income can qualify for $100 in tokens to use for fruits and vegetables, and fruit and vegetable plants and seeds.

Up to 10 tokens (each worth $1) can be used at every visit to the farmers market. The funding is provided by St. Joseph Mercy Health System. For more information, contact Ariane Reister at 734-544-2969 or at [email protected].

At the children’s tent this Saturday, the topic will be building strong bones using calcium, vitamin D, and exercise. Judy Radant will provide a food demonstration, and B and R Railroad will provide the music.

There will be a large selection of plants, greens, fresh baked goods, and more, all of which make great gifts for Father’s Day, which is Sunday.

Visit the Saturday market in the municipal parking lot by the library along Park Street from 8 a.m.-1 p.m.
