With the help of a 10K windmill and solar panels for energy, Brett and Barb Seabury operate Golden Fleece Farm, located in the Sharon Short Hills between Chelsea, Manchester and Grass Lake.
What started out as a part-time activity has turned into running a beef cattle farm where they subscribe to the grass fed beef movement. Golden Fleece Farm has a cow-calf herd where they build the soil in order to provide a pasture that is sustainable and nutritious.
Golden Fleece Farm is also home to lambs, chickens, and Nigerian Dwarf Dairy goats. Brett and Barb Seabury are at the Wednesday farmers market in Chelsea weekly.
This week Bill Bynum and Co. will perform at the market, and puzzles, brain teasers, and riddles will be featured at the children’s tent.
Also at the market, you’ll also find plenty of plants, both vegetable and herbs, seasonal produce, cheese, a variety of baked goods, soy candles and pottery.
The market runs from 2-6 p.m. and is located at the Chelsea State Bank parking lot at the intersection of M-52 and Old US12.
These are the Wednesday vendors, though not every vendor is guaranteed to be there.
