On June 29, the Monitors will be hosting its Ironclad Vintage Base Ball Festival at Chelsea High School (740 N. Freer Road).
Five clubs will be on hand, playing 1860-rules baseball from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m., with matches starting on the hour.
There will be two concurrent matches going on, on adjacent fields, throughout the day. So, lots of fun, lively action.
The clubs are: Chelsea Monitors, Royal Oak Wahoos, Sidney Stars, Detroit Franklins and Wyandotte Stars.
As always, there is NO charge for admission. Folks should just bring some lawn chairs and some refreshments for themselves.
