Lane Animal Hospital Temporarily Suspending Boarding Services

(Chelsea Update would like to thank Rachel Michalsen for the information in this story.)

As a hospital first, Lane Animal Hospital must prioritize our staff to serve our medical patients over elective services.

Due to current staffing, for now, we have decided to close our boarding services beginning Sept. 13. We hope to reopen prior to the holiday season, and will alert clients when that time comes.

Those that have current reservations after Sept. 13 will be contacted and we have a couple of facilities we will gladly recommend for boarding needs.

We will try our best to accommodate clients, on a case by case basis, during our regular hours for medical boarding, but there will be no staff over the weekends to care for boarding pets as we head into fall.

We feel this decision is the best one to ensure that during our hospital hours we have more staff for patients urgently needing sick or injury care, as we know that emergency hospitals are struggling with high caseloads as well.
