Get started writing your life story at the Chelsea Area Senior Center with a free class on Monday, May 20 from 2-3 p.m.
The next two classes are Monday, June 3 from 2‐3 p.m. at a cost of $5 and Monday, June 17 from 2-3 and it’s $5 for this
class as well.
The class will be taught by Janet Ogle-Mater, a historian and professional writer from Chelsea.
“We know memoir writing is popular today, because we all have a story to be told and one worth recording,” according to
information about the class.
If you’ve ever thought about writing your family history before it is lost for the next generation, these classes are for you. This three-session interactive writer’s workshop will help you get started on that personal history project.
By the end of the three sessions, participants will have a timeline of life events and some written memories for further
exploration.
The classes are open to interested people of all ages, and please call 475-9242 to register.
The senior center is located at 512 E. Washington St.
