Learn More about Recycling: WWRA Has Both Digital and Written Content

(Chelsea Update would like to thank Karissa O’Quinn for the information in this story.)

Would you like to know more about recycling?

Western Washtenaw Recycling Authority (WWRA) is a partnership of five municipalities working together to find alternative ways to handle waste and promote recycling, and now has multiple ways to do so.

From its website: wwrarecycles.org to Facebook and an Instagram pages, there is in addition, a dedicated YouTube Channel: @WWRARecycling.

All of these platforms help raise awareness about recycling.

WWRA’s Facebook and Website are a great resources for written content, but our Instagram and YouTube pages allow people to see PSA’s and tutorials.

In January 2024, we started the new year off with 1,200 profile views on Instagram and around 2,000 views on our videos. These videos include tips, tutorials, and recycling hacks. They help spread awareness of common recycling contaminates and prevent unrecyclable materials from entering the facility.

Check out WWRA’s Instagram and YouTube pages @wwrarecycling to learn more.
