Let’s go to the hop …

Dance, dance, dancing at the North Creek sock hop.

Lots of students and their parents decided to “go to the hop,” Friday night, Oct. 27.

The sock hop, that is.

Hosted by North Creek Elementary and the Chelsea PTO that featured a DJ, popcorn and more than an hour of jumping and jiving for students in kindergarten through fifth grade.

The children with a few younger (and older) brothers and sisters, tried out hula-hoops, jumped, stomped, danced, wiggled and laughed at the fun family event at the elementary school.

North Principal Marcus Kaemming said the sock hop “was yet another great PTO-sponsored event at the school.

In fact, both his son, Ben Kaemming, and Cheyenne Shemwell, daughter of Aubree Shemwell, PTO president, were on hand to help lead the youngsters.

Having fun at the sock hop.
