Craig Maier, supervisor of Lima Township, reports the sudden death of longtime Lima Township trustee Don Laier.
Laier passed away Tuesday, April 28, “doing what he loved, working in his farm.”
Maier said it’s too early for details, but it was very sudden and his wife Penny was at their home when it happened.
“This is quite a shock for us,” said Maier. “Don Laier stewarded the township for a long time. We will sincerely miss our long-time colleague. He and I were good friends and knew each other for 40 years, and he served the township since the 1990s.”
Funeral arrangements have not yet been made.
