This is the time of year to stock up on plants and flowers. Come visit the Wednesday Chelsea Farmers Market this week between 1 and 5 p.m. and you’ll find a wide variety from which to choose.

The market is located at the Chelsea State Bank parking lot, located at 1010 S. Main St., near the corner of Old US-12 and M-52.

Take advantage of all that local vendors have to offer on this last Wednesday of May. There will be vegetable plants, perennials, annuals, and herbs.

Greens, asparagus, and rhubarb will be available along with fresh breads, cookies, and cakes.

You’ll also find meats, cheeses, eggs, jams and honey, and local artisans will be selling jewelry, pottery, birdhouses, and more.

For anyone who prefers to order online, that option will continue for Saturday pickup only. Just go to www.chelseafarmersmkt.org and click on the Open Food Online Network to shop. Orders can be picked up Saturdays at Palmer Commons between 10 a.m.-noon.

To learn more about what to expect each week at the farmers markets, visit the website at www.chelseafarmersmkt.org, visit the Chelsea Farmers Market Facebook page, or e-mail [email protected].
