Mailboxes smashed Sunday night on Heim Road in Sylvan Township

On Sunday night, Feb. 17, sometime between 4-6 p.m., about 30-40 mailboxes were smashed on Heim Road in Sylvan Township.

A neighbor who lives on the road said that it looked like whomever did the damage took a baseball bat to the mailboxes.

She said some of the doors were ripped off the boxes and others were knocked down or dented.

If anyone saw anything out of the ordinary on Sunday night, please call the Michigan State Police at 475-7207, but keep in mind that the troopers are in and out of the Sylvan Township Hall office or the MSP Brighton Post at 810-227-1051.
