March 17: Snakes and Turtles at the Discovery Center

(Chelsea Update would like to thank Kathy Claflin for the information in this story and the Waterloo Natural History Association for sponsoring it.)

On March 17, there will be two times available to see Nature Discovery’s “Snakes and Turtles Live” at the Eddy Discovery Center.

The program will take place at 1:30-2:30 p.m. and then at 2:30-3:30 p.m.

Nature Discovery will present a fun and educational program about snakes and turtles that can be found in our state.  Observe these intriguing creatures up close as you learn about their diverse life styles and survival skills.

Following the program, you will have the opportunity to handle some of these gentle reptiles.  Cost: $2/person or $5/family. Eddy Discovery Center, 17030 Bush Road in the Waterloo Recreation Area near Chelsea.

Please register in advance and indicate the time you wish to attend by calling 734-475-3170.
