Martin Hoogasian exhibit at Chelsea Center for the Arts beginning May 3

Chelsea Center for the Arts has announced an exhibition of Martin Hoogasian’s paintings from May 3 through Aug. 2

He will exhibit 16 works on canvas and paper.

Born, raised and still residing in Michigan, Hoogasian earned his Master of Fine Arts degree from Wayne State University (Detroit, MI), where he studied on a full scholarship, according to a press release about his work.

He has exhibited in solo and group shows since 1972 and his paintings include a variety of subject matter, including landscapes, still lifes, and portraits.

Exhibitions are free at 400 Congdon St.

There is an opening reception on Thursday, May 2, from 6-8 p.m. at the center at 400 Congdon.

CCA is open Mondays – Fridays from 9 a.m. to noon and on Sundays from 1-3 p.m.
