Chelsea State Bank recently announced the addition of Matthew E. Noggle as Agricultural Lender.

His duties will include commercial lending as well as expanding the bank’s agricultural portfolio in Washtenaw County.

“We are very pleased to have Matt join our Commercial Lending team with an emphasis in agricultural lending,” said Chelsea State Bank President and CEO John Mann. “Our deep roots include the Farmers and Merchants Bank of Chelsea, organized by Paul G. Schaible, Sr. and many other farmers in 1908.  Agriculture is obviously here to stay and we’re excited to bring in Matt, who understands the financial needs of the local farmer as well as the major agribusiness distributor.”

Noggle joins Chelsea State Bank with a lifetime of experience in farming, nearly 17 years as a partner in a family-owned farm, and four years as a loan officer for the Bank of Colorado managing consumer, commercial and agricultural loans.

Graduating from Colorado State University, in Ft. Collins, with a dual Bachelor of Science in Animal Science and Agricultural Business, Noggle also studied at the Institute of Agriculture Technology on the campus of Michigan State University in East Lansing. He received an Associates of Animal Science from Connors State College in Warner, Okla.

As a community banker, Noggle is active in community service and has recently joined the Michigan Farm Bureau. In Colorado, he was active in many associations including the West Yuma Chamber of Commerce as a Board Director and a coach for the Yuma County 4-H organization.
