May 19-June 9: virtual shopping event in Chelsea

(Chelsea Update would like to thank D&B Strategic Marketing for the information in this story.)

Thank you to everyone who participated in the first Virtual Shopping Event hosted by #shopchelseamich merchants on May 5.

Due to overwhelming demand, they are conducting four more events beginning Tuesday, May 19, and each consecutive Tuesday through June 9 from 7-9 p.m.

Each week, a variety of up to six businesses will share their stories, goods, and services – all of the amazing things they have amassed during these past few months for your shopping pleasure.

A schedule of participants can be found at #shopchelseamich’s Facebook page @shopchelseamich and Website www.shopchelseamich.com

Take a look and get yourself ready for an evening of great shopping, inspiration, and fun. We are still working on the process.

Everyone is practicing their video skills, adding to their repertoire as small business owners sound, lighting, and choreography. Julie Konkle shared their experience, “We learned that we needed to upgrade our Internet to get a better-quality feed,  which I did today. I think it was a GREAT thing to do during quarantine. So fun to connect with people that are regulars that we really miss.”

Chelsea business owners want the re-opening process to occur safely and sustainably. Adapting to an evolving environment, mindful of the need to conduct safe business practices for themselves and their customers.

Participants in Virtual Shopping on May 19 include FarmSudz Underground, Jewelry Set-In-Stone, Culture Creations, Maureen’s Designs, Merkel Furniture and Carpet One, and True North Jerky and Food.

For more information go to  www.shopchelseamich.com website and Facebook page @shopchelseamich.

Virtual Shopping is brought to you by #shopcheleamich, a group of independent business owners who possess entrepreneurial spirit.

This collaborative team includes a network of 35+ Chelsea merchants and restaurants who have participated in and promoted Wine, Women & Shopping, Chocolate Extravaganza, and Sidewalk Sales events over the years.
