May 25: Seniors Honored at Last Home Soccer Game

The Chelsea girls soccer team is hosting its final home game on Thursday, May 25 against Ann Arbor Pioneer.

The junior varsity plays at 4 p.m. and the varsity plays at 5:30 p.m.

Thursday is also Senior Night and both the players and their parents will be honored. This year’s seniors are: Kylie Kuebler, Jesse Jacobusse, Julia Van Goor,  Kelsey Walz, Ellie Doman, Abby Bareis, Nicole Bareis, Sidney Bailey, Lydia Peters and Taylor Brodbeck.

The Senior Night ceremony will be held prior to the start of the varsity game.

Currently, the varsity team is 13-4-2 with the four team losses coming to three, Division 2 ranked opponents and one Division 1 ranked opponent.

Last week, Chelsea tied SEC Champions and No. 6 ranked Dexter 0-0, after losing a tight 1-2 game at Dexter the week before.

There will be free admittance for children wearing Chelsea Soccer Club or Chelsea Community Ed Academy Soccer Program jerseys.

There’s a $5 entry for everyone else.
