May 29: Lane Animal Hospital resumes grooming, elective procedures

Lane Animal Hospital will resume offering elective veterinary procedures, including boarding and grooming services beginning Friday, May 29.

Staff reached out to the Michigan Veterinary Medical Association to ensure that the latest executive order loosening of restrictions applied to these services.

In a message to clients, staff said, “We are grateful that Michigan is showing signs of recovery, but for the safety of our staff, clients, and pets alike, to be in compliance with OSHA and the CDC, our building will remain closed at this time with only essential staff allowed inside with concierge curbside care for all patients.”

In addition, there will continue to be contact-less pick up for refilled prescription medications and foods.

For those on the grooming waiting list, Lucy Jones will be reaching out next week, if she has not already.

For those who were on our elective surgical procedures list, you may have already received a call, and if not, we will be in touch Tuesday.

“We are each incredibly thankful for how kind, flexible, and understanding everyone has been since pandemic began in March. You have no idea how much your kindness means to all of us. We are wishing you all the happiest of weekends with beautiful, warm weather and good things on the horizon,” the announcement said.

Lane Animal Hospital is at 701 N. Main St., Chelsea, (734) 475-8696, https://www.laneanimalhosp.com
