Monitors Vintage Baseball to Play at Revel Run on June 1

(Chelsea Update would like to thank “Honest Jon” Van Hoek for the information in this story.)

Currently, our the Monitors Vintage Baseball team’s normal home field of TimberTown is unplayable, so the team is scrambling to find alternate fields for the matches.

On June 1, we’ll be setting up a game at 1:00 pm at Revel Run, 555 S Dancer Road in Lima Township.  This will be our 9th annual ‘Tallies for Charity’ match. This year the team will raise funds to support St Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, which seeks to find cures and provide care for childhood cancers and other life-threatening diseases.

We’ll be playing our friends from Dexter, the Union, that day.  Both the Monitors and Union have recently lost beloved teammates and supporters to cancer, and so we’ll be playing in their honor that day.

This game, as always, is open to the public and there is neither a charge for admission, nor is there any mandatory donation. One hundred percent of funds raised will go straight to St Jude’s. If anyone is unable to join us on June 1, but would like to contribute to St. Jude’s, they can contact us at:  [email protected].
