Chelsea has three new Boy Scouts.

Nicholas Bennett, Nathan Doyle, and Ken Lynn, all of Chelsea Cub Scout Pack 435, crossed over to Boy Scouts on Saturday, Feb. 18 at the annual Cub Scouts Blue and Gold Banquet.

All three earned the Arrow of Light Award – the highest rank in Cub Scouting.

The three new scouts elected to join Chelsea Boy Scout Troop 476.

Nicholas Detterman, senior patrol leader Troop 476, said, “We are excited that they chose to continue with scouting and delighted to welcome them to our group. We will work hard to get them the core outdoor skills, scouting knowledge, community service outlook, and confidence to assume leadership roles quickly so that if they choose to, they can pursue the Eagle Scout rank.”

He said that boys do not need to have Cub Scout experience to join Boy Scouts. All boys age 11-17 years may join.
