Oct. 11: Learn About 100 Woman Who Care Chelsea Area

(Chelsea Update would like to thank Tammy Bridges for the information in this story.)

100 Women Who Care will meet Oct. 11 at Golling Chrysler 1500 S. Main St. beginning with a social hour followed by an official meeting to award a charity $10,000.

This Giving Circle is based on the simple concept of bringing local women together to make maximum impact for a charity in a minimal amount of time. There’s no volunteering, no telemarketing, no event planning nor any silent auction item donations to solicit. There is simply the joy of giving back to our own community with an Impact Award, according to the group’s website.

As a member of this giving circle, not only will you be financially supporting a charity with your $100 donation, but also you’ll also learn about many local charities and have the opportunity to meet other local women.

Presenting at this meeting are: Waterloo Area Historical Society, Chelsea Farmers Markets and Chelsea Robotics Boosters.

Join the group for some fun, food and fine beverages while mingling with members and guests at Golling Chrysler in Chelsea.

The Social Hour begins at 6 p.m. with the official meeting beginning at 7 p.m. Guests are welcome to stay to hear about the charities or even join 100 WWC Chelsea Area and offer your donation of $100 to the chosen charity.

Everyone is welcome, there will be an ice breaker game, so you’ll have a chance to meet some new friends.

Thank you to our sponsors for making this event possible.
