Come to the Wednesday outdoor farmers market this week in Chelsea for plants and flowers.

You’ll also find a wide assortment of colorful vegetables including peppers, eggplant, zucchini, corn, tomatoes, onions, green beans, and gourds.

A variety of apples will be for sale as well as apple cider.

There will also be fresh baked goods, along with honey, herbs, spices, and seasonings.

The Chelsea Outdoor Farmers Markets will run through the end of October. It is located at the Chelsea State Bank parking lot, 1010 S. Main St., near the corner of Old US-12 and M-52 and runs from 1-5 p.m.

There is a regional (Chelsea, Grass Lake, Manchester and Stockbridge) food assistance program to help get healthy market food on the tables of those in need. It’s aimed at folks who don’t quite meet SNAP criteria. Be sure to inquire at the market.
