The 6th Annual “Pasta and Priests” fundraising dinner took place on Thursday Feb. 4, 2016, at St. Louis Center, with 66 people stopping by to enjoy the evening meal.

Each patron feasted on an assortment of four different types of pasta, a large amount of lasagna, sausage and meatballs, and a choice of either red or white sauce to top off their plates.

The event began in 2010, and evolved from the Annual Fall Dinner Auction held at St. Joseph Mercy – Chelsea Hospital in November of each year. Patrons bid $25 each to return to St. Louis Center in February to enjoy this great dinner; this year prepared by Chef Melissa Beck and her assistants.

According to Fr. Enzo Addari, SdC., Administrator of St. Louis Center, “We had a wonderful group of people here tonight supporting our event, and we are truly grateful to all who attended. Whether large or small, every donation we receive is truly appreciated.”

After dinner, Development Director Peggy Cole presented an update on the St. Louis Guanella Village project (expected to start this spring), Board member Norm Neuman launched the Alaskan Cruise Raffle Drawing to be held on June 20, and PR Director Joe Yekulis conducted a door prize raffle with Dinner/Auction Chairwoman Kathi Neuman.

Everyone in attendance enjoyed the opportunity to socialize with friends from the community and hope to be back again for next year’s event.

St. Louis Center is a residential care facility that cares for children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
